Summer 2017 Reading Tips
Grade K-1: Read for at least 20mn every day (or have an adult read to you)
Grade 2-3: Read for at least 30mn every day
Grade 4-6: Read at least 1 hour every day
Keep on Reading throughout the summer:Read from MyOn,Raz Kids,on your own,and at the public library:
  • Read independently,
  • Listen to an adult reading or listen to an audiotape,
  • Read in the community (signs, newspapers, menus, labels...)
  • Talk about stories you have read or heard
  • Visit your school library website for ideas and access to online readingsites
  • Write every day (journal, notes to family and friends, stories, grocery lists and pictures as stories)
