Registering Your Child for School

Welcome to Lynnwood Elementary,

We are excited to meet you and have your child enroll with us. There are a few things to do before you stop by.

Please go to http://versatrans-web.edmonds.wednet.edu/elinkrp/Students/BasicTransBoundarySearch.aspx and enter your address to find your home school. If Lynwood Elementary is not your home school, please contact your home school immediately.

You can pick up a registration packet in the main office after February 22, 2016 for the school year of 2016-2017. After filling it out they may be dropped off anytime after March 2, 2016 between 10 am and 3 pm.

Please bring the following with you when you drop off your packet:

ü A copy of your child’s certified birth certificate issued by the state of your child’s birth**

ü Home address and phone number with proof of residency such as a utility bill, lease or mortgage agreements/receipts, or a copy of your homeowners or renters insurance policy

ü Emergency contact information completed in the packet including:

· Work phone numbers and addresses of parents / guardians

· Names, addresses and phone numbers for two additional emergency contacts

· Daycare information, if student attends daycare (please note that we cannot use a daycare address as the home address for the child)

· Name and phone number of child’s physician or clinic

ü Proof of immunizations to date

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please turn in your child’s paperwork even if you do not yet have a birth certificate or your child is not up to date on immunizations, noting that all immunizations and a copy of the birth certificate MUST be received before s/he may start school.

The state of Washington provides funding for a full time kindergarten program. In our district, students attend five days per week. There is no charge to parents for this program.

If you have additional questions, please contact the school office at 425-431-7615, or call Shelley Roehl at 425-431-7176. Shelley can also answer your questions about early entrance procedures if your child turns 5 between September 1 and December 31, 2011.
