The 13 Colonies, beginning of a new Nation

Information about the thirteen colonies: Learn about what parts of the world the colonists came from. The thirteen colonies were divided into three regions. Find out the industries, agriculture and exports of each region. 13 colonies History Channel

13 Original Colonies

This site will teach you about the original 13 colonies from 1607-1775. Click on the links for a history of each of the colonies. There are several color pictures and a map of the colonies divided into  3 regions-New England Colonies, Middle Colonies, and Southern Colonies. Check out the chart that outlines the unique features of each of the colonies including when they were established, major towns and colony leaders. Wolves of Yellowstone

Gray wolves were reintroduced into Yellowstone National Park in 1995, which have since resulted in changes through the entire ecosystem. After the wolves were driven extinct in the region nearly 100 years ago, scientists began to fully understand their role in the food web as a keystone species.
